Crest Celebrates Outstanding Leaders and Volunteers at CAI’s Annual Gala
This past Friday, the Community Associations Institute (CAI) Greater Houston Chapter held its annual Awards Gala, a night dedicated to honoring outstanding contributions within the community association industry. Crest Management is proud to announce that three of our seven nominees were selected as award recipients, reflecting not only their individual achievements but also the strength, passion, and professionalism of our entire team.
⭐ Chapter Volunteer of the Year: Christopher Sharp
Christopher Sharp has been a driving force within CAI Greater Houston for more than seven years, including over five years as Chair of the Trade Show Committee. His exceptional leadership, hands‑on approach, and operational excellence have elevated one of the Chapter’s most significant annual events. His volunteer work spans major community initiatives, including the Chevron Houston Marathon, Trash Bash, the Kids’ Meals Summer Juice Box Challenge, and multiple holiday giving programs.
Christopher exemplifies the heart of volunteerism and the spirit of CAI.
⭐ Support Staff Member of the Year: Delaney Chapman
As Assistant On‑site Community Manager at Westheimer Lakes, Delaney Chapman has distinguished herself through her professionalism, warmth, and outstanding service. From deed restriction enforcement and ACC coordination to resident engagement and administrative support, Delaney consistently goes above and beyond. Her ability to defuse tense situations, support colleagues, and maintain impeccable operations makes her a pillar of her community and an invaluable asset to Crest.
She fully embodies what it means to be Support Staff Member of the Year.
⭐ Executive Leadership Award: Bill Higgins, CMCA, AMS
This year marked the inaugural presentation of the Executive Leadership Award, making the recognition of Bill Higgins, President of Crest Management Company, especially meaningful.
Bill's leadership is rooted in humility, integrity, and a lifelong commitment to education and service. Having worked in nearly every position at Crest, he leads with an unmatched understanding of the industry and the people who power it. His impact extends statewide through his long‑standing involvement with the Texas Legislative Action Committee (TLAC), where he has served as a founding delegate, Vice Chair, and Chair.
Bill has elevated professional standards within Crest and throughout Texas—championing education, supporting committee engagement, and personally hosting educational webinars for board member clients. His influence has strengthened Crest, the CAI Greater Houston Chapter, TLAC, and the broader community association field.
Bill is a deserving recipient of the first-ever Executive Leadership Award.
