Houston Chronicle’s 2019 Top Workplaces

Monday, November 18, 2019

We are beyond proud to have been named one of Houston’s 2019 Top Workplaces by the Houston Chronicle. The results are based solely on feedback from those that know us best – our employees! The anonymous feedback is gathered through a third-party survey administered by Energage, LLC, a leading provider of technology-based employee engagement tools, and measures several aspects of workplace culture including

Alignment: Where the company is headed, its values, cooperation;
Connection: Employees feel appreciated; their work is meaningful;
Effectiveness: Doing things efficiently and well, sharing different viewpoints, encouraging new ideas;
My Manager: Cares about concerns, helps employees develop;
Engagement: Motivation, retention, and recruiting;
Leadership: Confidence in company leaders; and
The Basics: Pay, benefits, flexibility, training, expectations.

“As an employer, there are so many things that are out of our control,” said Bill Higgins, President of Crest Management Company, AAMC. “At Crest, we work hard on the things that are in our control, so they don’t de-motivate and disengage our employees from providing the best level of service to our communities and their residents. We strive to create an environment and culture that allows our employees to succeed in working to their full potential and to know they are appreciated.”

According to the survey results, our highest scoring areas were POTENTIAL (our employees feel enabled to work at their full potential), EXECUTION (we do things efficiently and well), and APPRECIATION (our employees feel genuinely appreciated).

Here’s what our employees are saying …
     “I learn something new every day. I enjoy working with my co-workers and board members.”

     “I love my job. I wish I would have found Crest years ago.”

     “It gives me independence, flexibility, motivation, and satisfaction.”

     “The support from senior management is amazing. I feel encouraged and a part of a team.”

At Crest, we believe that a happy workforce is a productive workforce and that our focus on company culture results in exemplified teamwork and a higher level of customer service. “The Top Workplaces award is about much more than recognition and celebration,” said Eric Rubino, CEO of Energage. “Our research also shows that these organizations achieve higher referral rates, lower employee turnover, and double the employee engagement levels. It just goes to show that being intentional about culture delivers bottom-line results.” To your community, this means consistent managers and accounting staff that are engaged in providing superior service and are committed to being Your Community Partner.
